Getting an adequate amount of sleep is often overlooked in today's busy lifestyle....especially when it comes to getting weight loss and fat loss. Several medical professionals recommend we get at least 7-8 hours of rest every night. Read on and discover 3 reasons why getting more adequate sleep is one of the top methods to getting faster weight loss and fat loss.
#1. Carb Metabolization: When you do not get enough sleep, this lack of rest will interfere with your body's natural function to metabolize carbs and will cause high blood sugar levels. This issue will cause increased insulin levels in your body. The higher your insulin levels are, the more body fat you'll retain....especially the stubborn areas (belly, thighs, etc.)!
#2. Properly Grow Muscle Tissue (Recovery): The more rest you get, the more successfully your body will produce the natural growth hormone which is a protein that will grow and repair muscle tissue. The more muscle tissue than fat you have on your body, the more your body will naturally burn off fat.
#3. Sleeping Actually Burns Calories!: That's right. Simply getting plenty of sleep every night can actually burn off hundreds of calories every night!
I like to also point out that not getting enough sleep every night can also lead to a plethora of other health concerns such as increased blood pressure and heart disease.
So, if you are having difficulties with getting more consistent weight loss, and if you want to dramatically improve your overall health, try hitting the hay a little earlier tonight and sleep your way to a thinner and healthier body! Okay, there's more to it than just sleeping, but you get my point...lol!
