Are you having difficulties trying to stay motivated to lose weight? Do you find yourself starting and stopping diets on a regular basis and just can't seem to stay consistent? Well, read on and learn more about 3 primary things I did to motivate myself to stay consistent with my goals to lose weight and get the body I've always wanted....

1. Keep a journal: A journal of your daily diet and fitness will help you with accountability and motivation....because you'll see your progress day by day. I had one of those composition notebooks that I used to record the time of day I ate, what I ate, and the amount of calories I consumed.

2. Start your day healthy: I mean as soon as you wake up, do something healthy. Rather it be 10 minutes of quick exercises, drink a good amount of water, eat a piece of fruit, etc. Starting your day healthy will help you stay motivated to stay healthy through out the day and on.

3. Don't make dieting so complicated!: It's not as hard as most make it out to be! The biggest advice I can give you here is to stay away from "fad diets". That type of dieting (low carb, low fat, low calorie, celebrity endorsed, etc.) will make dieting miserable and very ineffective. The reason why those types of diets don't work is because you will be restricting calories and nutrients....that you actually NEED in order to lose weight effectively! Also, fad dieting will end up slowing down your metabolism.

A slow metabolism forces your body to store fat! If you want to get a faster metabolism and not have to worry about starving or depriving, then I recommend you tryout an easy diet plan called calorie shifting from Fat Loss 4 Idiots here.

4. BONUS tip: Have FUN! Life is too freaking short to be so strict with dieting and fitness! Spice up your health and fitness plan to make it fun and interesting. For example, for my cardio routine, I play basketball instead of getting on the treadmill, etc.

So, if you are looking for ways on how to stay motivated to lose weight, why not give those tips above a try and go make getting a better body stress free?!
