If you want to burn fat and lose weight fast and keep it off, how you eat foods is just as important as what foods you eat.

First things first. Keep in mind that no diet is successful without implementing the basic core principles of a healthy lifestyle. You must include them all. I'm stressing this because there are so many fad diets out here nowadays that avoid some of these basic principles, and because of that, you should AVOID FAD DIETS!

The basic principles are:

  • Drink plenty of water daily (I recommend for you to consume 1/2 your body weight in ounces),
  • Cardio exercise (For best results, focus more on doing short high intensity cardio such as sprinting, or sports. High intensity cardio will burn off much more fat....but at the same time, maintain muscle tissue...unlike long boring cardio which could burn off not just fat, but also muscle!)
  • Weight training exercise (It's important to include a weight training regimen in your exercise plan since the more lean muscle tissue you have on your body, the more you'll lose weight and the more your body will burn off stubborn fat!)

As far is eating is concerned, as I said earlier, how you eat foods is just as important as what foods you eat. This is because if you focus on eating properly through out the day, you will boost your metabolism. If you boost your metabolism you will burn off fat and lose weight fast, but even more importantly, keep it all off permanently!

How should I eat?

Eat frequently through out the day. Start with breakfast (never skip breakfast), and eat a small healthy meal every 2-3 hours after that. This will keep your fat burning furnace (your metabolism) running on all cylinders and thus naturally burn off fat faster!

When you eat frequently through out the day, your body will burn off more calories and you will lose weight fast and keep it off. However, when you do the opposite and not eat regular meals or you skip meals, this will slow down your metabolism. A slow metabolism will trigger your body to go into "protection mode" because it is sensing starvation. To avoid this from happening, NEVER skip breakfast, and eat 6 small healthy meals through out the day!

Also, be sure to include plenty of protein and fiber with each meal that you eat. This will help in preventing hunger and cravings!
